Prices are the entry list prices each vendor publishes on its own US pricing page, read on Oct 27, 2026. They exclude taxes, payment processing unless stated, hardware, add-ons and negotiated discounts; a promotion appears only in the notes, labeled as one. Prices change. No vendor paid for a place or a price in this table.
Ramp and Navan are often shortlisted together, yet they were built for different owners. Ramp is a finance team's platform: cards, expenses, controls and accounts payable in one operating workflow. Navan is a traveler's platform first: booking and expenses designed as a single employee journey. The question is whose problem you are solving.
Verdict: Ramp, unless travel is most of the spend
We pick Ramp for the typical company, where travel is real but software, suppliers and team purchases make up most of the outflow. Ramp puts all of that under one set of controls and closes it in one place.
Navan wins for companies whose people are on the road every week: consultancies, field sales organizations, event-driven businesses. For them the booking experience is the product, and Navan's positioning of the trip and its expenses as one journey is worth more than payables in the same tool.
Where Ramp is stronger
Supplier bills. Ramp's published scope includes accounts payable; Navan's published scope centers on travel and expense. If your close involves matching invoices to card charges, Ramp is the one positioned for it; if you still consider Navan, ask it to show any supplier bill payment it offers before you assume either way. Ramp's approvals also reach beyond travel: its Slack integration lets admins and direct managers approve, edit or reject fund and reimbursement requests and approve or reject bills, with the actions recorded in Ramp's audit trail.
Where Navan is stronger
The trip. Navan positions booking, changes and the expenses that follow as one flow; the trial should prove that a rebooked flight or an extended hotel stay keeps each charge tied to its approval. Its integrations directory also lists a Workday integration and HR-SFTP for employee data and provisioning, direct ERP integrations such as NetSuite, and a Slack integration for notifications.
One caution: Navan's directory lists no SAP connector and says custom ERP integration work can be arranged at additional cost. Check your ledger before you decide.
The deciding test
Pull a month of exceptions and tag each one: trip-related or not. If trip-related exceptions are the majority, choose Navan. Otherwise choose Ramp, and keep the trips you do have on the booking process you already run.
