Prices are the entry list prices each vendor publishes on its own US pricing page, read on Oct 27, 2026. They exclude taxes, payment processing unless stated, hardware, add-ons and negotiated discounts; a promotion appears only in the notes, labeled as one. Prices change. No vendor paid for a place or a price in this table.

Ramp and Zoho Expense answer different first questions. Ramp asks how finance should control spend before and as it happens: cards, limits, expenses and bills in one workflow. Zoho Expense asks how a business already using Zoho should handle expense reports and reimbursement. Both are reasonable questions; they lead to different products.

Verdict: Ramp for control, Zoho Expense for Zoho shops

If your goal is to stop employees fronting company money and to bring supplier bills under the same controls, choose Ramp. That is the job it is designed around.

If you run your books, CRM or operations on Zoho and the need is a tidy report-and-reimburse cycle, choose Zoho Expense. Zoho Expense is positioned inside the Zoho suite, which means one fewer vendor relationship; confirm in a trial which users, permissions and customer or project records are actually shared, and what sync with Zoho Books still needs watching.

Why Ramp wins on control

Card-led spend applies rules before the purchase rather than reviewing claims after it. Ramp also documents its accounting behavior clearly. In QuickBooks Online, card transactions sync as expenses, reimbursements as bills with the employee as vendor, amounts can be split across categories with some stated limits, and synced expenses are locked in Ramp with later edits made in the accounting software. A small finance team can plan its close around rules like these.

Why Zoho Expense wins on fit

Fewer systems. For a small business, the cost of another platform is not only the subscription; it is another login, another vendor to evaluate and another sync that can fail. When the rest of the company runs on Zoho, keeping expenses there is positioned to reduce that overhead, at least the extra vendor; how much sync work remains is a trial question. It is the wrong choice once card-led controls or procurement steps become the priority, because that is not its center.

Pick by this test

Ask whether you want fewer claims or easier claims. Fewer claims, because spend moves onto company cards: Ramp. Easier claims inside the suite you already use: Zoho Expense.
